Somerset House in Talladega, Alabama, is located just a few blocks from one of Alabama’s most historic town squares. Built in 1905 this beautiful colonial double veranda house is on the National Register of Historic Places. Rich in history, it was renovated extensively in 1993 as a bed and breakfast. Today, Somerset House continues the tradition of fine southern hospitality with its four elegant and comfortable guest rooms with large private bath, and full gourmet breakfast.
A petite grand (player) piano is located in the front parlor and the library may be used for conversation, reading, cards and games or relaxing. The full length verandas on first and second floors, with ceiling fans on the second, offer shade and privacy where one can relax, enjoy refreshments, chat, read or just do nothing.

Breakfast is served in the dining room between 7:30 and 8:30. Exceptions can be made with advance notice. Fresh morning coffee is served for the early riser. Bottled water, soft drinks and complimentary wine are served in the afternoon, as well as bedtime sweets, all on the buffet in the second floor hall.
